Stainless Steel Simplex Wire Rope Grips

Take a look at our range of reliable A4-AISI 316 stainless steel simplex wire rope grips, available to suit 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm diameter steel wire ropes.

Please note: they are suitable for use with flexible 7x19 steel wire rope only. DO NOT USE WITH 1x19 STRAND WIRE ROPE.

You can easily fit these Simplex grips by removing the nut and plate and passing the wire through before replacing the nut and plate.

Load failure on these is approximately 50% of the wire rope's breaking load, not to be used for lifting or safety critical applications.

Q: Why do you recommend only using this simplex rope grip with 7x19 strand steel wire ropes?

You need flexible wire to be able to pass the wire through the simplex grip. the stiffer 7x7 and 1x19 will not pass through. Only use these simplex rope gips with 7x19 strand wire rope

Q: Can these wire rope grips be used for lifting purposes?

No, we do not recommend using the simplex grip for lifting or safety critical applications
