Stainless Steel Jaw/Jaw Rigging Screw
Our jaw rigging screws are marine grade, making them tough, durable and corrosion resistant. They are ideal for outdoor and maritime use.
They are also known as barrel strainers, tensioners, turnbuckles, fork and fork rigging screws, bottle screw or adjusters.
These turnbuckles are polished AISI 316 grade A4 stainless steel and feature a removable clevis pin. Simply take out the clevis pin from the rigging screw fork by removing the split ring.
Our rigging screws are available in arrange of sizes: 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm and 20mm diameters. Drawing sizes may vary slightly.

We recommend screwing out the jaws no more than 80% of the total threaded area

For this listing we would get the pin to pin measurement (L2) and add 80% of the body measurement (L3). This will give you a rough maximum safely unscrewed measurement
Q: What handed threads are the rigging screws?
One end is right handed and one end is left handed thread, the counteract each other so they screw outwards or inwards at the same time
Q: How does a rigging screw work?
Simply screw the rigging screw body to open or close the jaw ends, once you have the desired length you can use the locking nuts to secure the body into place

A central cross-hole is provided at the inner end of the thread and at each end of the body, which permits visual observation of the maximum permitted extended position of the end fitting
