GS Products offer a 10m stainless steel wire rope guard wire fitting kit.
What you get:
- 10 meters of 4mm 7x7 stainless steel wire rope coated to 6mm overall diameter (white PVC)
- 1 x DIY easy to fit adjustable jaw terminal with right hand thread
- 1 x DIY easy to fit adjustable jaw terminal with left hand thread
Known also as a life line, guard rail and wire guard rails
This kit comes with opposite hand threaded adjustable jaw attachments which are easy to fit and work together to create tension.
This kit suits all lines upto 10 meters long (other lengths are available).
Commonly used as a safety feature on yachts, boats and also trailers and transporters.

- The thread can be screwed out to create tension
- Jaw has a 7.5mm clearance with a removable clevis pin
Fitting instructions
- Strip 40mm of the PVC coating off the end steel wire rope using a sharp blade
- Attach the fitting to the end of the wire and tighten down the 3 grub screws using a 3mm allen key (not supplied)
- Use our steel wire rope cutters to cut the guard rail to your exact length
- Repeat the process on the opposite end
